Sold my car in January after holding on to it for 7.5years, almost exactly. Passed my Class 2B on 12 November 2014 and in exchange for my car, I bought a 2nd hand bike, KTM Duke 200. Having owned a car since 1997, I figured that 1) I have to stop spending money on a car that really eats into my savings 2) I like to have my own transport without having to spend too much on a vehicle 3) I have ALWAYS wanted to ride a motorbike!
So in January, a few days before I handed my beloved Volvo to the dealer, I placed a deposit for the bike and collected on the day I gave up the car. So here I am, getting onto the next phase of my life.
16 December 2015 was the day I decided to ride to JB with a friend. He was riding his Triumph Truxton, while I was on my puny 200cc bike. It was breakfast at Kulai, tea break at Kluang, lunch at Mersing and straight back to Singapore customs.

Absolutely delighted myself during the ride. Absolutely enjoyed it when bike and man becomes one. I am waiting to do a longer road tour in the future and one day, I will get my own big bike and do a road trip to Thailand and beyond. That one day will come soon.
